Is it legal to have 2 guns(pistil & rifle) in the same case while flying?

So, I'm thinking about getting my wife a mid gauge shotgun for when she's out in the wood with me and I can across the Rossi Trifecta. Single shot, comes with either 3 or 4 barrel combos. But the one I'm looking at is a .22, .243, and a 20ga. Does anyone know anything about it? Thanks
