    20 Gauge O/U Quandary

So I'm a little bit stumped right now.. I recently purchased a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 20 gauge with 30" barrels.. I've been having a great deal of difficulty shooting consistent skeet scores with it, breaking 20 birds was the best I could do and most rounds were yielding 18-19.. The gun...

First Straight with a pump and sub-gauge today!!

Today, I shot my first straight with a pump on the skeet field.. Killed two birds with one stone as I happened to be shooting a 20 gauge Winchester 1300. I've shot straights with a 12 gauge O/U, but never with a 20 gauge or a pump for that matter.. I've shot more 24s with a 20 gauge and with...

So after picking up a Browning BPS 16 gauge and taking it out for several range sessions... I'm now asking myself why isn't the Browning BPS more popular in the field and at the range??? They point well, cycle fast and are ambidextrous... They are based on a proven design/patent originating...

6.5 Creedmoor: The Kool-Aid tastes good!!

So I finally got a chance to go out and shoot my 6.5 Creedmoor build... And I will say the cartridge lives up to all the hype.. Its easy on the shoulder, not terribly loud and the 6.5 bullets do defy the wind as their high coefficients would suggest... No pics of the groups as I forgot the...

Why are shotguns getting harder to clean??

I ask myself this question each time I clean one of my shotguns... Is the powder getting dirtier?? Are the companies watering down the solvents?? When I shoot one of my shotguns without a chrome lined bore it seems to take forever to get the bores to clean up... Ten years ago everything...
