Someone locally has one for sale in 6mm Remington; early-1967 vintage (allegedly went to CM later that year to cut costs). Just wondering if this sounds correct to Rem. experts, and what would the twist rate be? (slow rate wouldn't be a deal-breaker), but price might be - wants offers.

Am looking at purchasing a late-90s 700. Barrel is stamped: *****, box label: 5*. Seller claims this was a special run of CDLs. No Google luck finding reason, although the same markings have been noted on Rem.'s other long guns; calls (by others) to Remington have resulted in no answers. Anybody...
