    French MAC Model 1935 M

A guy came to me wanting to know where he could get a slide stop for his 1935 M pistol. After checking everywhere I could think of, I've concluded that parts for it are mostly non-existent. Is there another slide stop that could be modified to function? Are blueprints for the part available? If...

    Swedish Mauser Barrel

What would be a reasonable asking price for an issue Swedish Mauser 24" barrel, unused, still wrapped in paper and cosmoline?

    1911 unsupported case

I've had a copy of the Kuhnhausen manual on the 1911 for several years now, but haven't seriously read it until this week, as I haven't had a 1911 in an even longer time. In the part about head space and throating the chamber, he claims that excess head space will increase the amount of the case...

    paper revolver cartridges

Somewhere on the internet I saw a video about making paper cartridges for percussion revolvers in which the guy made straight tubes, sealed the bottoms with some sort of red paper and used paper or cardboard wads between the powder and the lubed felt wad to prevent powder contamination by the...

    KWIK-SITE

Does anyone have any current info on them? I see that they make, or used to make, a .22 scope mount that will fit the narrow dovetail used on Russian and other former Soviet bloc made .22 rifles, such as the Romanian training rifles. I've called them several times. The phone rings and rings, but...

rifling twist for 123 gr. 6.5 mm

Will a 10 twist barrel in 6.5 x.257 Roberts stabilize Hornady 123 gr. Amax or ELD Match bulets or are they too long? It shoots well with 100gr Sierrs HP and 120 gr. Soft Point. Not so well with 140 gr.

    AR feed ramps

A while ago I posted a thread asking about installing an AR rifle barrel on a receiver with M4 feed ramps. I thought I 'd post my results just as a matter of information. I thought about trying to make a video of it, but have neither the knowledge or equipment to do so, and it's too late now as...

    AR rework

I don't know a lot about ARs. I'm working on this Colt Target model with built-in carrying handle with rear sight. I got a new receiver with flat top in order to get the scope down to a reasonable height above the bore. I thought I made it clear that I didn't want M4 feed ramps, as the original...

Modifications to a Uberti New Model Army .44(Remington)

I didn't know if this should go here or in the Smithy area. Feel free to move it if necessary. I sent another member a PM about this job and he thought I should post it, so here goes. First, I'm not doing this to make myself look good or anything of the kind. Maybe some will find it helpful. I...

    PMs

After logging in, I went to send a member a PM. After typing it up and checking for errors, I clicked on send and a screen came up saying I was not logged in, and must do so to send a PM. The message also disappeared and I can't find it. This is the second time in a week that this has happened...

    Pietta tail

I expect that this has been gone over several times before, but I'll ask anyway! Is there a back strap and grip available for the Pietta 1851 that has the original Colt shape, or close to it? I like the feel of the Uberti grip over the Pietta. The front of the grip looks the same, but the back...

    Bisley Hammer Spur

A bisley hammer spur on a single-action revolver seems to be in favor with those who like to customize their sixguns. I don't care for them, myself. I have a Ruger Bisley, and it works O.K. there, but on a standard single-action I would rather have a spur like the 1851-1860 models. I take a...

    rifling dimensions

Where can I find a chart or table of industry standard rifling dimensions? I've searched the internet ancome up with everything to do with the subject except what I wanted to know. I believe I have something on it in my conglomeration of firearms literature, but haven't been able to find it...
