Make the S&W S/N search thread a sticky.

In the Revolver forum, it would be helpful to members to make the "S&W serial number search" thread a sticky. Then it will stay up top and folks can find it quickly, cutting down on multiple "ID my gun" threads. I know it "properly" belongs in the Harley Nolden section, but it seems to get more...

Let's start the new forum with a Picture thread for fun...

Nice to see the staff set this forum up from Jeffenwulf's suggestion. I look forward to perusing this forum and learning and sharing. Maybe we can build some enthusiasm by starting with a picture thread? Maybe, your favorite C&R firearm? Or your favorite two or three you have? Here's my...

Question for JohnKSa - Bullet weight charts

John, A few months ago, in one of those silly "my caliber is better than your caliber debates," you made a great post. You put up a graph of color-differentiated calibers on an x/y axis of velocity and projectile weight. Brilliant, as it was a real debate-ender since it showed quite clearly...

What is the most important modern handgun?

I'm curious as to what people think is the most important handgun of the modern era? Let's say anything from the Colt SAA/S&W Schofield era forward? I would say let's set the criteria on such things as: 1) Important engineering advancement that changed everything that followed 2) Wide...

Anybody here shoot a 44/40 revolver and load for it?

I am looking/thinking about a S&W DA in 44-40. I really don't NEED to add another caliber, especially an odd-ball one. Any comments about ammo availability commercially, reloading it, and what are good loads? I will look at some load tables tonight I guess, but thought I'd seek some wise...

    Ruger MK111

I received a New MK111 for xmas. I tried to do a dis-assembly to learn how. I cocked and the pulled the triggerr, safty off- removed to clip and tried to remove the bolt lock device. It wouldn't come out even though it would move downward a ways. It now will not re-cock the trigger. The...

    Anyone have a .460 Rowland?

I'm thinking hard on building a 1911 commander .460 Rowland, taking a compensated, ramped Clark barrel I already have, reaming it and having it cut down to commander length (Clark will do it). I'm curious how that round shoots with the Clark compensator in a 1911. Is it possible to handload...

Is it possible to remove bumper pads on Wilson magazines?

Is it possible to replace the rubber bumper pads with a flat steel base like traditional magazines? I don't need the bumper, don't like the way they look, and they don't fit my mag pouches. But I sure like the way they work!
