I'm wanting something to run a suppressor on

I keep going round and round over whether to do it with 22LR, 9mm, or 300 Blackout. Kind of a ranch rifle kind of thing...dispatching raccoons, foxes, coyotes, etc. 9mm seems a reasonable choice, but most of them aren't terribly accurate at 100 yards.... and don't much like the idea of...

    Home defense shotguns

With age, comes change... I'm not that old, 49, and my vision is still correctable to 20/15 in both eyes... but front sights and red dots are... well... more complicated than they used to be. Realizing that my AR with the CompM4 optic wasn't as quick and accurate as it used to be....I got a...

Switched to a revolver for ccw...

I'm a slow learner I guess... I've been carrying for 25 years, and only just now I've found what I've been looking for the whole time. A good old fashioned wheel gun. I'm not sure exactly what took me so long, but I'm blaming it mostly on "capacity envy". I never cared for revolvers much...

Glock 32 Gen 4 357 Sig range to report

Not sure how I managed to word the title wrong, but anyway... Range day today.... My wife with her new Gen 4 G19, me with my G40 and the new G32. 100 rounds of Speer 125 Gold Dot (54234) through the G32, it ran like a Swiss watch... Not a single bobble of any kind. Accurate!!! Very, very...

    New to 5 stand...shotgun choices.

I have a 20 gauge Mossburg pump and a Remington 870 Wingmaster pump...both are modified choke (not screw in). I'm planning on using the 870 because I have shells for it....7 1/2, cheap target rounds...I've shot skeet a few times but have never tried 5 stand... Not planning on buying a new...

My wife gets her first deer!

Its not a monster, but will be good eating. Shot with her 270...130 Nosler Ballistic Tip pushed by 54 grains of H4350. The deer was 345 yards away and quartering away slightly...I told her the drop and wind drift, she did the rest...dropped him with one shot. I'd say she's off to a great start!

    Some thoughts on barrel cleaning

I clean the copper out of mine once per year...no more, no less...I use only Hoppes #9 Benchrest Solvent...no brushes, no harsh cleaners...just Hoppes and patches...it usually takes 2-4 overnight soaks to get it clean. After each range session...a wet patch (CLP), a dry patch (tight), another...
