Looking for bases for a friend's Stevens 200 rifle. He bought the thing last month and now wants me to find him some bases and rings. If I'm thinking correctly, bases for the Savage series is what I need. Is this correct? If so, what Savage model is equivalent to the Stevens 200?

...firing a .41 mag cartridge in a .44 magnum revolver? I think it would fire, accuracy would be sub-par as well as velocity. I don't know if the fired cartridge would bind the cylinder. Anybody have any experience with this situation?
