    Loose bullets

I just loaded some .45 colt bullets using new Starline brass, and something happened that I haven't seen before. I probably should have, but I did not resize the brass before loading. I noticed that I did not have to flare the mouth for the bullet to fit into. The bullet barely started, and did...

    Reloading 45 Colt powder question

I bought a S&W model 25-5, and want to load my own. I thought I would try some Hornady 255 grain LFN cowboy bullets. I usually use Unique for 357 mag and 44 mag, but I have heard that in a 45 Colt, I may run into problems, because of so little powder in the case. Any suggestions to powder and...

    Resizing revolver brass

I recently started reloading for my 357 and 44 mag revolvers. Initially, I bought new Starline brass, and now all have been shot. So, it's time to clean and resize. I read in The ABC's of Reloading that only the first one-third of the case should be resized, since the used case now fits my...

    newbie question

I'm new to reloading, and am still accumulating the equipment, but I'm almost there. I bought the Lee 3-die carbide sets for .357 mag and .44 mag. I'm only going to reload for revolver use. My question is this: do I need the Lee factory crimp die? And, if I do, why do I need it? Thanks in...

Lee Speed Die: is it any good?

I'm new to reloading, and am buying equipment piece by piece. It's now time for dies. I'm only going to reload .357 mag and .44 mag for revolvers. I've seen lots of people writing about Lee Carbide dies being great, but I've never seen anything about the Lee Speed Die. Does it work? Is it worth...

grips for an old Charter Arms 44special?

I recently bought a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 special, with a 2.5 inch barrel. It was bought new in 1972. Very sweet gun!! The only thing about it is, I can't seem to find anyone making rubber grips for it. Any suggestions? I'm primarily trying to tone down the recoil. Thanks in advance.
