Loading a single round through the ejection port!

Load a new round through the ejection port with the magazine out and close the slide and then load your full magazine. How many of you do this?

    Reducing loads on the 9mm

Just experimenting today with soft loads for my 9mm's. Started with 3.5 hp38 and 115 Berrys plated, and had to hand cycle. Then with 3.9 hp38 it was very soft and cycling reliable in both my Glock 19 and Shield 1.0 40 with 40 to 9 conversion barrel and the original 40 spring. But only have a...

conversion barrel POI off by a bunch

Long story short, bought a .40 to 9mm conversion barrel for my Shield 1.0 Went out to the range and the POI is off by 2" at 7 yards. To me that is unacceptable, because being a triangular difference, it will only get worse at the distance increases. Took slow shots with the sights aligned...

.40 loaded to same as .45 acp = same power?

If one loaded a 200 grain .245 acp to 800 fps, and then loaded a 200 grain .40 sw to the same speed, would both rounds be similar in penetration and muzzle energy? Would the recoil pulse be similar, i.e. push rather than snappy .40ish.

New grips for my Smith 60 3"

I could not find any production grips that I liked, so I made a set yesterday for my new Smith Model 60 with the 3" barrel. I chose the traditional one instead of the performance model. The grips are made out of black walnut and surround the frame and extend a little down. The problem was that...

The squibb that won't come out

Loaded up some LeHigh Defense 130 grain. Their site stated 5.5 to start with HP38. Measured up 5 grains on a digital scale to start. I know that there was powder because I only loaded 2 and weighed each one. Took it out to test, and got a squibb on the first round. Stuck half way down the...

    Never seen this one before!

http://www.mythicarmory.com/thermody...s-tda-357.html A seller in CA has one for sale. But he's too far for a transfer, otherwise I would have considered this, if nothing else for its ugly uniqueness!LOL Never have seen this one before. The longer 4" model is quite COOL! Anyone know more about...

    Smith 360 PD .357 magnum

Picked up my new Smith & Wesson 360 PD today. I've wanted one for quite a while to pocket carry around the ranch. Right off, loaded it fews so light, even compared to my 3" LCRX. And fits into my front jeans pocket perfectly, or appendix hidden under a light tank top. I already have an SL...

Looking for .38 special Interceptor bullets

Anyone know where to find the bullet component for the ARX interceptor .38 special? Looked everywhere but haven't had any luck yet, except for preloaded ammo.

What is causing this ridge on bullet seating?

I'm not new to reloading. Have done tons of .45 acp, 9mm and .38 specials. But this is my first go with .380 acp. I am loading 90 grain LeHigh Extreme Defense, .355 9mm Using the LeHigh loading data for .380. I'm loading dummy rounds to get the dies set up correctly. But no matter what I do...

Ruger Redhawk .44 magnum flap holster

A friend ordered up a custom made traditional carved western flap holster for his huge Ruger Redhawk .44 magnum to carry in the woods. The first photo shows the raw carved holster shaped, and the final pics show the finished holster with a cocoa dark brown stain.

    Sig 320 unsafe?

I just read this article about the numerous accidental discharges of Sig 320's while holstered. There are currently a number of lawsuits by law enforcement regarding these pistols. Anyone know more about this than in the article...

Hammer follow on friends Beretta 92

My friend with his new to him Beretta 92 is trying to figure out why the hammerr is dropping when the slide goes forward. He has not taken it out to shoot yet. Used firearm, recently purchased. Just dry firing and practicing manipulations, but noticed this happpening. At first he thought that...

    +P in a Beretta 92

A friend just got a Beretta 92. He lives in the Catskills and want to use this for woods carry as it is his only handgun right now. I suggested Buffalobore Outdoorsman, but his manual states that +P is not recommended. For a heavy steel firearm, why is that? The open slide design? Heck, I can...

    Innovative Kimber K6 pocket holster

I haven't seen anything like these, so I thought that I would post my innovative design for a pocket holster that hangs from the belt, thereby taking much of the weight of the gun off the pocket. This works mainly with jean style western rise pants where the top of the pocket is cut more...

Any have the Hogue extreme grips on their Sip P230?

The aluminum Hogue extremes. Just wondering how think they are. If you have a pair can you mike them for me mounted so I can compare the widths? I have wood panels, but have slimmed them down considerably to 1" thick mounted.

    Ruger 3" LCRX .38 Spl. +P

I call it my super lightweight 38/44 because it can handle the hottest .38 special loads all the way up to 415 foot pounds ME. FWIW, Buffalo Bore Outdoorsman +P chronographed out of this LCRX 158 grain at 1079 fps. Out of a 3" barrel pretty close to the original 38/44 specs of 158 grain at 1150...

Anyone else use a S.L. Variant speedloader from Germany?

Considered one of the best and fastest speedloaders. It has a fine adjustment for the angle so it can fit a range of guns. One press and the rounds are sprung into the chambers. Can be as fast as magazines in a semi auto. The only problem is that they are rare as hen's teeth and in quite high...

Does anyone have a Smith 360 PD airweight

Looking at one for sale at the local LGS case. It's the hammer version with the titanium cylinder and scandium frame. Is the titanium cylinder a problem. I've heard of erosion that wrecks the cylinder. It's rated for contiuous use of +P but doesn'y say conitiuous use of .357 magnum. Looking for...

Adjustable rear sight for the Kahr pistols

There used to be a company way back when called MMC that produced an adjustable rear sight for the Kahr pistols. But they became defunct. Recently browsing I came across their new website and it appears that they intend to bring back the adjustable sight for the Kahr pistols and others. I...
