Ramshot True Blue for 45 GAP

I'll be doing a lot more testing with Ramshot True Blue. It appears to be the most consistent, efficient Major Power competition powder I've used thus far for .45 Gap reloading. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/petej/rel.45gap.TrueBlue.html

So, What's Your Favorite 9mm Tactical Pistol

By tactical, I mean something big enough to be really accurate, and small enough to be carried. For example, some police agencies carry the longslide Glock 35, and other groups use the longslide Glocks for special tactical situations. Some folks really like tactical pistols for sports shooting...

    625 (.45) or 610 (.40 & 10mm)

Well, I gave up trying to find a 9mm revolver. What a shame. Now I'm looking at the 625 in .45 and the 610 which shoots the 10mm and .40 calibers. The 5" 625 weighs 45 oz. The 4" 610 weighs 50 oz, I suppose because of the non-fluted cylinder. As you might have guessed, I was interested in...

    New AA#9 is Slower

I just started using a new 8 lb bottle of AA#9 that I had bought about a year ago. It looks the same, smells the same, meters the same, fills the case the same. BUT, it averages 100 fps slower than my old #9 that I just finished using. I've heard that AA has used different factories to produce...

Is the recguns.com faq site dead?

I tried to contact David Putzolu at recguns.com to no avail. All the url pointers to him and how to update posts on recguns.com also seem to be broken. I wouldn't mind so much except one of my really old 357 Sig Cautionary faq articles is still hitting the top 10 on search engines. I'd really...

    357 Sig: 2214 fps, Energy: 653, Power: 133

I used a Glock 31 (4.5" barrel) to fire 7 rounds of RBCD 60 grain ammo. It was semi bright outdoors so I couldn't test the flash very well. It appeared to be about 10" long and 5" wide. And the flame was a kind of orange-white. I'm guessing the flash would get more intense with shorter barrels...

Extreme Bullet Setback Test With Glock 31

I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. So I performed a bullet setback test to see if there is a problem with factory 357 Sig ammo, and I used a Glock 31 because I have heard rumors that Glocks can blow up easily. I did a similar test a couple months ago with a Steyr m357 pistol. See my...

Gun Tests Magazine: Big Test Coming

Looks like in April or so, they will compare the Glock with some newer upstarts: Walther P99, Steyr M9, and the HS2000. Should be interesting.
