The price of lead is now under .80 per lb. This is down over $1.00 per lb from it's high. Lead inventories are at a very high level. It is time to start putting pressure on the bullet manufacturers to start dropping their prices. If we don't nothing will happen.

I saw first hand Saturday the plating separatimg from the lead core with 9mm Berry Bullets. One of my friends was shooting their 147 gr bullet in his Glock 34. His load goes about 875 fps. I have always considered Berry to be a step below Rainier and West Coast in quality.

Just got a set of these yesterday. I think they will become my new favorite muff. Very comfortable. I little heavier than their Pro-Amp. They do not appear to clip like the Pro-Amp and Peltors. It has been raining so have not had a chance to test outdoors. Price is a less than Pro-Ears...

Picked up one at the gun show today. Everything looks good so far. Took a few minutes to improve the trigger pull. Will see how it shoots in a day or two. Looked at a Para-Ord. Limited that was about the same price, but did not like the fat grip.

How well does the 9mm function in a 1911? I understand that 9x23 and 38 Supers function OK. Does a ramped barrel offer any advantage over a non-ramped one in feeding the 9mm? With a 124 gr.FMJ I don't think I can get the OAL much more than 1.180".

I have just started building a 1911 and once it is completed would like a tenifer finish on it. Is there anyone that can apply this finish? If not what is a good tough alternative? I prefer a dark color like blue, black or dark gray.
