Im getting rid of my POS (worst gun I've ever owned) DPMS Panther .308 and I'd like to replace it with another .308 autoloader. As far as accuracy and reliability go am I better off going with a M1A (a fairly basic one, I'm not going to drop $2k), an AR-10, or something else? Any advice?

I picked up a DMPS Panther in .308 not long ago and I am not happy. It's proving to be severly unreliable with all ammo. Indian surplus will not extract ~100% of the time (I'm not suprised, probably underpowered). Wolf will not feed ~25% of the time. Good quality Remington and winchester...
