    Just ordered a CZ vz-82.

I've been debating it for awhile. This is my first C&R purchase. I ordered it from Centerfire Systems. It should arrive on Tuesday. I will post pics by next weekend. Now, I need to buy a bullet mold for 9x18 and a couple hundred brass cases. Other stores have the vz-82 (CDNN, SOG, Military...

Where to get old style cylinder stop spring for 4-screw S&W Model 17?

Question says it all. I have a Model 17-1 with a slightly kinked cylinder stop spring. No problems with the gun so far, after a couple hundred rounds. However, I'm looking for a source that sells these, so that I can have an extra on hand in case it weakens too much. By old style, I'm...

    How do you disassemble a Springfield/Savage 87A .22 LR?

I'm sure that, among the collective wisdom here, someone can tell me how to disassemble the above rimfire rifle. My buddy has one that will not load even one round into the chamber without jamming, so he asked me to look at. Well, I removed the stock and looked over the action and barrel...

Is loading .38 Spl cost effective?

Of course, I know it depends on how much you shoot. Let's say you already have a reloader and dies, and you shoot 2000 rds a year. I can buy reloads for $8.50 or so a box. How much does it work out to be if I decide to load my own? Any helpful input?

Wish I hadn't sold all my guns 12 yrs ago

When I was in college, I sold all my handguns. Now I'm regretting it all. Gone: S&W 686, 4", with custom smooth wood grips w/finger grooves (bought used in '87) Gone: Taurus PT-99 - flawless shooter (bought around '88) Gone: Browning BuckMark (bought in '88) Gone: Taurus PT-58 .380...
