    Thank You All!!!

With the iminent closing of TFL I wanted to take a few minutes just to thank all the members. You ladies and gentlemen have made moderating this forum very easy. I can only recall deleting one thread and locking one or two over the years I've been involved with this site. This has been a forum...

    H&R 349 Gamester bolt disassembly

Harley do you (or does anyone) know or have anything on this bolt action shotgun? The fornt half of the bolt body was held by a cross pin. I thought the firing pin was screwed into the firing pin head but it won't budge. Is there something I'm missing here? I haven't seen one of these in years...

Jim, Harley, either of you or anyone else know how it's done? The front half of the bolt body came off with the removal of a...

    Mauser chambers

Harley, I'm looking for a definitive source that would tell when the 8mm Mauser chambers where changed from a 20deg 48min shoulder to the 19deg shoulder and what rifles it affected. What I've found so far leads me to believe that any rifle produced after 1905 has the 19deg shoulder but I can't...

    Remington 870 Owners

Guys and gals, over the past two months I have had half a dozen 870 Expresses come in with the same complaint. Mysteriously disappearing magazine springs. In every case, either the factory plug was installed backward at the factory or the owner (none owned up to it) took it apart to clean and...

    In the white?

A customer brought in a Remington 552 yesterday that he had cleaned. His receiver and triggerguard were white. I already know what happened to it but I thought I might throw this out and see if anyone else might have an idea. George
