Did some plinking today in the desert surrounding Las Vegas. Temp around 70 degrees with no wind...perfect. Set up targets at 25, 50 and 75 yards, using a Browning Buckmark ,22lr.

Looking for a DA only 9mm compact...not top of the line nor a cheapie. What make/ model do you like and why? Thanks

My S&W Airweight J frame was uncomfortable to shoot with the small stock grips. I put on a pair of Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips & that made a big difference. They cover the back strap & are a little longer. More meat on the bone. 50-100 rounds fired per outing is now enjoyable.

Anyone know what the muzzle fps difference would be with the same round ? I was thinking 100-200 fps from the 4"

Comments appreciated from anyone who has shot some Grizzly 38 Spl.+P 125 gr. JHP from a 38 Spl.+P snubby. I just got me a box to put thru my S&W 638 (Airweight, 38 Spl.+P). Was it accurate? Expansion results? A defensive round? Recoil?

Photos show expansion. From a 4" barrel semi-auto, fired 10 yards away, into a mound of tightly packed soil. Not bad I'd say.

For me it's the .22lr, 38spl & the 9mm.

Bought a new Walther PPX (discontinued model) from CDNN...price was $280! Really sweet shooter & seems well made. 16+1 of 9mm. The recoil is considerably less than my .40 cal Glock 22. I plan on shooting this one often...since 9mm rounds can be had for 20 cents each in bulk. Here's Hickok45's...
