I'm now building an AR pistol. I'm using a 7.5" inch barrel so handguards of 7" are too long. Any suggestions for a shorter handguard to use with a Aero enhanced upper receiver would be welcome.
Hope this is the proper place for this question. I am curious as to why when building an AR15 pistol you can use a KAK Shockwave stock but you can't use a Magpul stock?
The KAK is shown here: https://www.kakindustry.com/shockwave-package-black
At least KAK claims their device has been...
This House bill already has 149 sponsors and if the Dems take control of congress it's sure to pass. Here's a good article regarding the bill and consequences.

Have now completed my AR15 and I see how heavy it is because of the barrel. It begs to have a much shorter barrel for weight and balance. I know it will be much more accurate and stable as is but for overall feel a short barrel will be great. Of course without a tax stamp that would be wrong...
When using a stripped lower of one mfg. and an upper of a different mfg what problems, if any, can I expect to encounter? Do they ever not fit together and if so what can a builder do? I would think the problem would be fairly rare.
For anyone starting to build an AR15 I would suggest you don't choose a stainless steel barrel, the look is terrible and stupid. Fortunately, I only paid $79 and while it appears to be totally functional it really looks awful. Guess I was overcome with the price.
Just a little curious, since I now have most of the components of my AR15, why would someone want to get a stripped upper rather than an assembled one? A lower I can understand since you can add you own trigger components and many others but with an upper there is not much to add. Other than...
I'm slowly putting together an AR15 and have a PSA lower and an Aero upper and now I'm trying to decide on a barrel. This gun will not be used for long distance shooting or competition but I would like to get an okay barrel. Cheap as possible but not junk. I've been looking at a Ballistic...
This article is from the NYPost by the idiot who was terrified when he shot an AR15 and said he suffered from PTSD. He's at it again.

Just got a BCG from Aim Surplus. The shipping was free and while mine did arrive okay it was shipped in a lightly padded envelope. It was almost coming through the package at one end. If they will, ask them to send in a box and pay a little extra.
Just got an email from the truth about guns and it seems this S&W has been having some serious issues regarding firing out of battery. Here's a link:

I am somewhat familiar with manufacturing but it baffles me why a company like Aero has been out of stock of lower receivers, stripped or complete, for an extended period of time. They make these themselves so are we talking a shortage of aluminum, which I doubt. Curious to know what I'm missing.
While on the subject of ammo and since I had a bad ammo failure recently, how does aluminum ammo, CCI Blazer, perform or hold up against brass? I've never shot aluminum and this is not for competition. The gun being used is my wife's Glock 42.
I see many ads for ammo and the cost of shipping is huge. Why don't people buy locally? There may be some people who don't live handy to a gun shop but it's hard for me to believe there are that many. Just curious.
