i just took my dad's old shotgun out of the closet to give back to him and on the receiver where the finish is worn it's just starting to rust. it's a 1969 year model wingmaster. should i just get it refinished or is there another fix? comments/suggestions welcome.

how do i tell if my 870 has this?

i just removed my wood stock from my rem 870 and replaced it with a synthetic one. now there is a gap between the buttstock and the receiver. am i missing a spacer?

hi all, i am going to take my wood stocks off my rem 870 express 12ga and replace them with factory synthetic parts. i am also going to replace the recoil pad too. any help on how to undertake this is appreciated.

i'm switching from a 870 to an 1187. going to be my hunting and home defense gun with a bbl change. a smith told me they have or had a reputation for parts breakage. has anybody heard this? comments/suggestions welcome.

i have a question about the "short" forends. rumor seems to be the short ones are less likely to jam since they don't overlap the receiver like a stock rem 870 forend i've never noticed it myself, i tend to "short stroke" my 870 sometimes when dove hunting, or atleast i think i am. i've tried...

specifically a forend assembly for an 870, ie the metal tube the wood slips over. besides brownell's.

what can i do to an 870 express to smooth it up? out of the box they're not as smooth as my dad's old one that's broken in. for anyone that'll say "shoot it!", i mean besides that. i guess polishing the friction points?

i'm going to buy either a rem 870 express or benelli nova in '26bbl. i will be looking for '18.5 hd bbl for whichever i get. what can i expect to pay for each model and where can i find them? comments/suggestions welcome.
