    TruGlo Pro-Series Gobble-Dot turkey sights

Any comments on these? They are adjustable 3-dot fiber optic sights which are held to the ventilated rib by set screws. The gun will be used for slugs/HD.

Is it okay to file/trim the inside diameter of a choke tube?

While shooting slugs one of the choke tubes was ripped up a little. Only 6 slugs were fired through this 20 gauge Imp Cyl tube, three Winchester followed by three Federal. I stopped shooting after that in order to change to a Modified choke, but the IC choke was stuck so I decided to leave. I...

20 gauge slugs - Win vs Fed Power-Shok

The specs are very similar between the Win Super X and the Fed Power-Shok (not Tru-ball). 2 3/4", 1600 fps, 3/4 oz rifled slug Is there any reason (other than price) to pick one over the other, or is it a "whatever works best in your gun" deal?

    G10 stamped on crane/yoke of 1981 S&W

G10 is stamped on the part of the crane/yoke that swings out with the cylinder. 4XX4X is stamped below that, but the font is smaller and it looks much neater, as if it was done by a machine. The G10 looks like it may have been stamped by hand. I searched "G10 crane" and "G10 yoke," but got...

    Washington DC and guns

A video on youtube said that on Jan. 6, 2021 there will be 1,000,000 armed Trump supporters in DC. After a short search on DC and firearms, a handgun (for me) is not allowed. So I looked into long guns and found this (my bold): "Can you open carry a rifle in DC? The District of Columbia...

Revolver in safe during house fire...what kind of damage?

If there was a revolver in a gun safe during a house fire could/would the extreme heat cause damage to some parts? This would be a stainless S&W.

What's the name of this part?

It's in the red circle in the pic. Seen them called: cylinder stop cylinder stop stud frame stud "Cylinder stop" is also sometimes used for the name of the spring loaded part that locks the cylinder when firing. Also heard that part called a cylinder bolt.

Was the S&W Model 65 ever chambered for .38 Special (and not .357 Mag)?

I have searched and been unable to find anything. I think I remember reading something strange about the early 65s, but it might have been another model. Any such animal as a .38 Special Model 65?

Are these holes part of the production process, and

what is their purpose? I've noticed this on many S&W K frames. In the front lower corner of the cylinder window it looks like a drilled hole was just started, and then stopped. Maybe it's the end of a long hole whiich serves as a reference point of when to stop removing metal...don't know...

    S&W 65-2 w/ no pin; transitional model?

Here's a completed GB listing for a S&W 65-2. I thought all 65-2s were pinned and recessed. This one has no pin, but the description says the cylinder is recessed. The 23 pics are pretty worthless in regards to this. None of the model number on the frame, and none of the rear of the cylinder...
