Video: AAC SCAR-SD silencer with 100 round mag dump

Do not try this -- it can cause injury or death and is not normal use nor covered by the warranty. Barrels of this length are spewing unburned powder. Use 10 inches or longer for anything real. High Def (RIGHT click and save to disk) http://www.pallettassociates.com/videos/SCAR-SD-BetaHD.wmv...

    Silver bullets

http://www.realsilverbullet.com/new_products.htm Check this out. They are selling a single round with a silver bullet for $120. A bullet made of silver has about $1.50 of silver in it. Cheaper than my .338 Lapua magnum rounds. I could actually shoot them. But $119 each!!!! That is $6,000 for a...

What is the point of Pyrodex???

I always thought that Pyrodex was not corrosive like black powder. Now I keep on reading that it is just as corrosive and just as hydroscopic. So what is the point? The only advantage I can see is that it is UPS shippable (I guess that is a big advantage) and less easy to ignite with static...

    20 guage slug accuracy testing.

I got the Ithaca Deerslayer II in 20 gauge with a 20 inch barrel and put a good scope (Schmidt and Bender) on it for testing. At 50 yards: Federal 3" Premium 275 grain HydraShok sabots shot three into 0.38 inches! One hole. Fantastic accuracy. Speed was just 1287fps for just 1010 ft/lbs of...

Is this Triple Seven .45/70 load safe?

I put 50 grains *by weight* (not volume) of 777 into a .45/70 case with a 460 grain Cast Performance bullet (a rather long bullet). I am sure it is touching the powder with some compression. Want to fire in a newly made Winchester lever action. I know these are very strong and can handle over...

    Which 7.62x39 AR-15 magazines work?

I thought I would try out the Colt 7.62x39 rifle I have, but don't have any magazines. The rounds don't fit very well in a 5.56mm magazine. What is my best bet for something with high capacity that will work reliably?

Glock 20 10mm magazine replacement bodies.

I just got email from Brownell's. I had asked them to carry Glock 20 and 21 replacement magazine bodies. They said they will have them in 4-6 weeks. These are the Scheher units. Now I can update my old Glock magazine and safety store it away.

    Cameras vs full auto guns

The 1930s court decision said that a sawed off shotgun had no relation to a militia. So if the guy had a Thompson, he would have been ok. But yet, the people's parity with the government is not allowed when that is the entire point. Imagine if someone said "Our Forefathers would never have...

How bad is lead for you? What if I shoot in my basement?

So I fired a few dozen shots into a backstop in my basement. My girlfriend was really upset about the possiblity of lead contamination in the house. She feels it is a major hazard to children who might be in there in the future. I know lead is a poison, but how bad is it to fire less than 500...

Photos of Federal Arms 5.3 inch threaded barrel in Glock 20C.

I wanted a barrel greater than the stock 4.6 inches, but less than the 6 inch hunting barrel. I also wanted a reason for it to stick out, so I was intrigued when I found out that you could buy a 5.3 inch threaded barrel in 10mm for just $90. I did not accuracy test it, but it does work reliably...

    Cocked and unlocked carry?

Has anyone thought of cocked and un-locked carry for a 1911 or HiPower? It seems clearly safe with the 1911, because of the grip safety, and I keep on reading that it was designed to be carried unlocked -- or at least was designed to be safe to do so. So if you have, say, a 5lb trigger, do you...

    Thunderwear on Ripley's

Ripley's Believe it or Not just had a segment on "Thunderwear(tm)" They showed women wearing it carrying handcuffs, a stun gun, and basically every other thing you could think of *except for a handgun.* How will we ever get more conceal carry laws if you cannot even show someone on TV doing...

Will a G36 stock and trigger group fit on an SL8-1?

I know it would only be legal if the stock was pinned open and if the gun had X number of US made parts, but aside from that... Would a G36 stock and trigger group fit and work without sawing any plastic?

Can one make an HK-21 from an HK-91 w/o paperwork?

Can one legally take an HK-91 and use an HK-21 parts kit and end up with an HK-21? And then could one put an autosear in it? Assuming this is legal without paperwork, is it a practical project?
