All I've read about the 1851 & 1860 Colts indicate they shoot high. That was my experience with my 1851 Pietta. Just wondering if this also applies to the Dragoons? Do they shoot high also? Thinking about getting a Cimarron Whitneyville, that's why I ask. Thanks for any input.

Mine groups real well but shoots pretty high, I have filed off about as much of the rear sight (hammer) as I feel I should. The top of the cylinder is just starting to show at the bottom of the 'V' and throws off my sight focus just a tad. Does anybody make a replacement front sight for...

Been having trouble with ignition on both '51 & '58 Piettas so I spent bank to get replacements from TOW. The '58 lit those #11s over & over again, no misfires at all. So I'm satisfied there. The '51 however, wouldn't ignite one cap with those new nipples, not one....unless I turned them out...

Does anyone know of a manufacturer other than Magtech or RMC? I am looking for a shell that will accept 209 primers, RMC will of course, but man are they pricey!! And Magtech it seems only are made for LP primers. Thanks

There are two (2) kinds of cylinders, one which has a "straight" profile, the other has a "step" or a "shoulder" about mid-way in its length. Are these two types interchangeable?
