Having trouble locating a firing pin for a 1893 Spanish Mauser.

Numrich does not have them, and could not find them on any other internet searches. Would a firing pin from a different Mauser model fit?

I know normally bore sites tooled are used for optics like scopes, but can they be used for irons on something like an AK?

Is the Romanian PSL worth the price?

I checked out a Romanian PSL rifle today, I have to say it was very nice. Fit and finish were very good, felt good in the hands. But it was $2200 dollars. I was thinking a PTR-91 is about 1K as is a Winchester M70. The only thing I would say the PSL has is lots of affordable ammo and would not...

AR15 locking up when trying to manually cycle live ammo.

Hello all. It's been awhile since I had a chance to get back into my firearms hobby. I got my first AR not to long ago. Its one of the Gen 2 ATI Omni Hybrid M4 style AR15's. I took it to the range and it fired fine. But after cleaning it I decided to do a function test and noticed...

Just bought a ATI Hybrid Multi Cal AR-15. Nano Composite FCG anyone?

Put this rifle on layaway a few months back, it is my first gun in a while. I field strip it to check it out; and what do I find? A FCG that looks sort of like hard lego plastic blocks. I have never seen this in a firearm. According to the ATI website this is called Nano Composite. Not sure what...

When people ask me "Why you need an assault weapon?" I have an answer for them.

First of all those of us in the firearms community do not view semi-automatic copies of military arms as assault weapons. They are just semi-automatic rifles. Years ago around my early 20's I was running a family owned produce farm in a very rural area. There were issues with Coydogs and Coyotes...

Wanting to buy a MAS 36 in 7.5 French.

I always wanted one and have heard good things about them. I regret passing on them when they were $70 dollar rifles. I don't want to bid for one online...I dislike bidding. Does anyone know where there is a place I can just buy one outright for the price that is asked?

Need some help from you Lee Enfield bolt action guys.

Picked up a 1942 "Long branch" Lee Enfield .303 bolt action rifle. I always heard Lee Enfield rifles were good guns. Picked this one up a couple hours ago. I have experience with the Mosin's, German style Mausers, and I have a 7mm Spanish Mauser. This is my first experience with a Enfield...

Just got my PHD Kasmir pass gunsmith enginneering yesterday. Beretta 92 F/S content.

So I was cleaning the Beretta 92 yesterday when the little locking block got loose and got stuck in a award position. Trying to work it loose I decided to tap it a bit on the brick wall I was sitting on. It came out, I put it back it and then....upon reassembly the slide would not go back on...

Should be getting a EAA witness in .45 ACP in the next couple days.

A fellow I know is selling his and he has five 10 round mags, a small GI ammo crate full of ammo, and a holster for it. The mags and ammo together are worth $200 bucks easy and he wants $500 for all of it. Its an older EAA Witness, and has very few rounds through it. Probably less than 200...

Question about the recoil spring and guide rod for the Beretta 92 series.

I noticed by watching several field stripping videos on the net, that some guys apply paint to the end of the spring that the guide rod generally goes into. This I noticed this with some 1911 and Sig videos. Seems like on some pistols the spring maybe of different dimensions were the guide...

    AK-74 vs. bear.

This seems to be more of a self defense case than hunting. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/07/robert-farago/ak-hiker-kills-bear-with-ak-74/ I have heard of a few people deer hunting with the AK-74, but a bear seems like a big task for that round.

NC is getting pretty lax on what types of guns you can use for hunting.

Now you can use hi-cap semi-auto pistols. This means you can hunt deer with a Glock 19 and a 17 round mag. http://www.northcarolinasportsman.com/details.php?id=4660 Also from a few inquiries to the Wildlife Resources in Raleigh and a conversation with a game warden. You can legally...

Planning a hunting trip for bear and boar next year. Need advice.

Planning to take some friends to Nantahala National Forest in Western North Carolina. I have heard it can be rough, with thick woods, and dangerous cliffs. The plan is to go in there and do primitive style camping, and possibly fishing depending on the rules and regulations during that time of...

Anyone tried the 40 round AK pro-mag?

Picked one up on a whim. Couldn't find a whole lot about them online. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thinking about getting into AR's. I have some questions.

I was thinking of starting out with a PSA lower. I have heard good things about them, and I like this lower. Its only $179 plus my FFL would only charge about $15 bucks for a transfer. Is the PSA good stuff like I have been hearing? Because I am stretching my budget I was thinking after...

Having a magazine issue with a Beretta 92.

Picked up a surplus 15 round made in Italy Beretta 92 magazine the other day. The floor plate is a bit thinned than the one that came with my pistol. (mine is a 1996 model). The magazine I just bought fits into the mag well tight doesn't click in like the other Beretta and Mec-gar mags I own do...

Anyone familiar with the Sig P227 pistol?

I was reading an article in a magazine about this gun. This spring I will be in a .45 ACP market and I love the old Sig P226. So I was wondering if anyone here has any range or trigger time with the P227 pistol. I like the idea of a 10 round .45 ACP. I prefer an open hammer over a striker fired...

    Got a .25 ACP question.

Through family I received an old Bauer .25 ACP auto which is a copy the Baby Browning .25 ACP. It is not the greatest round in the world but I was wondering if there are any decent loads for it that at least give it some umph! I was thinging of the Gold Speer loads. Any other suggestions?
