    Nice place to visit

Want to say that this is a great forum. I appreciate the fact that it is non-political (well except for us unreconstructed southerners that get loose from time to time). Thanks for creating a fun place to learn about BP firearms and history and get away from the "noise" that is in the news...

    Cabela's sale

I'm sure y'all already know about this, but in case you don't, Cabela's is having a sale on a several B.P. revolvers. Just picked up a brass '51 "sheriff" for $129 +shipping. Couldn't resist at that price. I don't always buy brass models...but when I do, I prefer cheap ones. :)

    Wow, History Channel?

Just watched an episode of "Battlefield Detectives" about the Battle of the Bulge made in 2005. Among the things they discovered: That the German mp 44 sturmgewehr was "light weight." That the word "sturmgewehr" is German for assault rifle. And that the B.A.R. was very unpopular with American...

    Thanks for T.F.L.

This is a great site. I guess we don't take time to thank the "powers that be" but...thanks. I spend my time with B.P. and C&R so guess I'm on of those old guys. The B.P. section is filled with really great guys. I've not found any section that guys were not willing to help me. To contrast...

    B.P. legal question

I'm sure this was been talked about many times. My question is about B.P. revolvers and the law. Since they are not considered firearms by BATF, as least my understanding is they are not. I could be way wrong there. But I do know you can receive them without an FFL, at least I got that part...

    Advice on an AK build

I have an AK 55 Hungarian milled receiver kit in addition to a generic stamped receiver that won't fit it. It's an old parts kit that I've had for at least 12 years. I can't decide what I want to do-so I thought I'd ask y'all. If have a local guy build it for me, I'll have to put +500 into it...

    AK-55?

I have a parts kit of a milled receiver AK-55 from Hungary that I've had for 12 years now. I didn't know what model was until recently. I'm not a dyehard AK guy, but am interested in doing something with it. Like most of it, I wish I'd bought a sack of AKs back in the day, but I didn't. I've...

    Gun Leather

I used the search feature and looked for advice on gun leather, but wasn't satisfied, so I thought I would ask the experts. I recently purchased 2 Uberti Cattlemen Hombres in .357. While I am not currently a member of SSAS or the other groups, I might eventually join if I have time. So that...

    Dry fire

This is a great forum, I read it everyday. Question is can I dry fire a Remmy with the nipples removed? It seems OK, but since I actually know very little about anything, I'd like to get it cleared with the local experts. Thanks y'all. OJW
