I just tried something new to me, Powder Coating. I am told that this keeps lead from getting in the barrel. Does any one have any experience pro or con. I shot about 30 rounds in my 44 Henry Big Boy and cleaned and found no lead or powder coating. Thanks for your input.

I am using 240gr. JHP With 22.5gr.IMR4227 and the COL is 1.595. I load 10 rounds and 2 of the 10 show a slight bulge. I have not tried to go to COL of 1.600 or a little more. Max calls for 1.610. I have a Henry Big Boy and don't know what they say for COL.(any recommendations). Thanks

Has any one tried Powder coated bullets with B.P. rifle and pistols? If so what are the advantages and disadvantages in using them? I use them in my 9 M.M. and they work well.

I have not shot my black powder pistols for a long time but I am going out around Christmas time and am in question about using old felt wads. will the lube still be good or should I just go and get some new ones. Can I just put some kind of lube on them like melted Crisco or such. :mad:

I just got a HI-POINT CARBINE 9 MM and took it out and shot about 100 rounds and had not one thing go wrong. The only thing is that it is a little heavy, its not plastic. For the price its seems to be a good shooter. Has any one else had good or bad encounters with this gun?

How long can you keep a b p pistol loaded before firing

I just bought little gun (TAURUS PT-22) but the trigger pull is long and after a while of shooting it is hard to hold on to the target because my finger gets tired of the long trigger pull. Is there a way to make this pull easier and still work like it should?

I have an old b p revolver that the brass is very dirty. Cleaned the out side with brasso but the inter parts are dirty and was thinking of putting it my sonic cleaner but can't get the barrel off. any suggestions? Can I soak it in vinegar with the barrel on, will the vinegar discolor the barrel?
