What's considered good shooting when you're just using iron-sights? Is it normally measured at 100 yards like you would with a scoped rifle, or at a shorter distance?

Wow, is this the newbie question to take them all... So... uh... How do you remove the grip from your AR-10? The bottom is hollow and I can't really see too well up into it, but it doesn't look like there's any sort of normal screw in there. I feel stupid :confused:
