    1851 or 1860

Just like the title says, 1851 or 1860? What do you prefer and why? Let's keep it traditional and assume that the 1851 has to be in .36 and the 1860 will be in .44 and both will be steel.

    Uberti 1851 London

So I am seriously considering this piece or maybe even a pair. However, I have heard that Uberti's colt designs can suffer from a short arbor. Is this still the case? Is it so problematic that it impairs function? I guess I just struggle with Uberti being a quality manufacturer of firearms...

    Heritage Big Bore .357

Are any of you familiar with the big bore versions of the Heritage Rough Rider revolvers in .357 and .45lc? Evidently, they are made by Pietta. I have an EMF Great Western II that is made by Pietta and it is a very nice Colt clone. Just wondering how the Heritage Big Bore stacks up.

    1858 with 5.5" Barrell

Hey all, I have been watching the Cabela's sale and they have the Pietta 1858 with 5.5" barrel for a decent price. My question is, what is the accuracy of this pistol like? Do these tend to shoot: low, high or to point of aim? Does anyone out there have experience with these?

    Quality of Euroarms?

There is a Euroarms 1851 Navy available locally for $100. It is in the original box and appears to have never been fired. Looks to be mid-1970s production. Is it worth it or would I be better off with a Pietta from Cabelas? It appears nicely finished with a good overall fit. I would like...

Most reliable BP pistol out of the box?

So I know that BP pistols have come a long way in regards to reliability. However, there does seem to still be the occasional lemon or return out there. All things being equal, what do you think is the most reliable out of the box cap and ball pistol? Personally, I think that the Uberti 1858...

    Wire Trigger/Bolt Springs

Are the wire type bolt springs more durable than the original flat style bolt - trigger springs? Just curious, as an 1851 I had previously had a bad habit of breaking the flat springs.

    Pietta Tail

I am interested in picking up a Pietta 1851 Navy. I have heard that they now have the correct grip geometry and no longer have the flared "tail" at the base of the grip. Is this the case? Anyone recently pick one up from Cabelas?
