    COLT ARMY Special...AGE?

    My wifes grandfather, a WWII Marine, has a Colt Army Special that he wants dated. I think I will inherit this gun someday. The serial # is 4414XX. It has the black grips and is in good shape. Any help with a date of manufacture would be great.
