i went to the range today and shot my smith and wesson 986... i had a container of brass maxx 9mm that i bought... the bullets would not snap into my moon clips as they should,instead they just dropped out.....just about every other ammo i have used does not do this... it shoots great just a...

i got some 9mm nato ammo from walmart...was at the range and the first round locked the gun up...managed to get the cylinder open,noticed the casing was stuck in the cylinder..i tapped the casing out with a dowel and a hammer ... i tried to fire another round in case it was just a fluke..gun...

i took my new 986 to the range this past weekend.....it shot real good,it was more snappy than i thought it would be but very accurate and controlable....i loaded the moonclips and unloaded them very easy by hand as well...all in all a great gun,the price set me back a little though... :(

i saw one of these in the store today...a really cool revolver and it was super light....price tag was pretty steep,i might still pull the trigger on it though...

i recently picked up a used model 66...it is set up for competition shooting,it has a large bull barrel and a bo mar rib sight on top...the hammer has been bobbed and shoots double action only now....i shot it for the first time this past weekend and it is the most accurate gun i have shot...

i sold my .480 super redhawk this weekend....i had my fun with her but i got decent money for it....it has been replaced with a ruger match champion so all is not lost....

in the new smith and wesson catalog i saw some new interesting revolvers...one that caught my eye was a model 69 .44 magnum combat....there were also some performance center 9mm revolvers that looked pretty cool but pricey..

what is your loudest handgun....for me its a toss up between my 30 carbine blackhawk and my .480 super redhawk...

i went down to the range and gave my .480 super redhawk a workout today...shot some targets at the pistol area...then did some benchresting with it on the rifle range ..... went through about a box and a half of ammo and it was a great day of concussive enjoyment...

man i love this thing...i put a paper target up on the backstop with push pins and the shot anhilated the target and the push pins...
