    An old Ballester Rigaud 45

Hi! Let me introduce an old service pistol I finally found. It is an argentinian Ballester Rigaud 45 ACP pistol with a serial number in the 41xxx range. Several sources I found tell that it should be a Ballester Molina because of the serial number, but it is a Rigaud. It is in very nice...

New to me (but really old) The British Bulldog revolver.

Bought it at a local auction some time ago. It is in good condition and according to its proof marks it was manufactured before 1892. Looks like a very good made belgian copy of a Webley model 2 "The British Bulldog". Caliber seems to be 450 Adams but my 455 Webley with 230 grains LRN bullets...

Winchester 1873 SRC with english proof marks

Hi folks! Did you any of you ever know about one? It is a 1873 saddle ring carbine from 1887 in 44 WCF. It has british proof marks that could be seen in the attached pictures. All are London proof marks for black powder era guns. And it looks like R. JONES was its importer to Manchester and...

    Black powder test

Today tested some velocities with my NMA. Max. velocities for 200 gns Lee bullets were about 1300 fps, and more than 1400 fps for .454 Hornady balls. This results were achieved with my homemade Holy Black, and absolutely impressed me. Attached one of the pics of my Chrony I took.

    Problem with a conversion cylinder

Bought a new pietta new army remington copy. With the conventional cylinders it functions normally...but when I use the conversion cylinder from my pietta bison it doesn't move. And only with the conversion cylinder because the standard one does function very well. Standard cylinders are six...

Wider wedge for a 1860 army

Needed a wider wedge for a 1860 army. Bought 2 from Taylors but were the same width of the one I had installed, so no way to reduce cylinder gap to the close tolerances required, with any of it. Being out of the states means that asking a gunsmith to manufacture a new with the right dimensions...

    New friend

I've recently bought an old iron...a Colt 1860 copy from Pietta. Now it is in the process of being aged...it is from1988 and still very tight in all parts and movements. I've purchased it with a new mold, some RWS caps and a powder flask at about 450 bucks...not bad for my country where a new...

My new (but old) Remington Rolling Block 43 Spanish

Attached you can find some pics of my new carbine. It is a 43 Spanish with a four digits tang number on the 4xxx range. I suppose maybe manufactured during the late 1870s. It is totally original and with clear rifling, although the barrel have some pits that I suppose to be caused by using...

An original 1895 Webley RIC model 83

This is a Webley 83 in .455 Webley in good and original condition. I'm obtaining cases for it from 45 LC ones that I cut to just 1 in. I load it with about 20 gns black powder or 4 gns of Red Dot that normally give me about 650 fps with 200 gns lee round nose bullets. A moderate load that could...

    My original Winchester 1873

I've got an original 73 carbine from 1887 in 44-40, in original condition, with all their original parts and fully functional though his external condition isn't the best one. I cannot blame on it because obviously it is a legend by itself. Attached you can see it sided by a Colt bowie and a...
