    Badlands Tactical--Excellent training!

I recently completed the Basic Precision Rifle (Sniper) Course offered by Badlands Tactical Training Facility, Grandfield, OK. I’ve been through training…lots of it, and I have conducted training of my own. I won’t bore you with a bunch of “I Love Me” credentials; I’ll just say that I’m no...

    On AR15 Barrels...I need one!

I am about to build an AR15. It will not be for duty, contingency or anything serious at all. Not for competition, either. This will be a pure fun gun, something to punch holes in paper with. As for components, I'm not too picky. I'll use Colt parts for the small stuff--a RRA 2 stage trigger...

    Competitive smallbore rifle shooters...

Have you heard of this? I was in a gun store today. I noted a nice Winchester bolt action .22 It had a heavy barrel, nice wood stock with a medium-wide fore-end, and a block at the front sight location for mounting your choice of aperture front sights. It also had on it what I recognized as a...

    Need a pistolsmith!

Hi, all. Here is what I have: I own a Colt M1917 New Service that has been customized--before I got it. As you can see, any further modifications will really not hurt the revolver. Here's my dilemma: This gun is chambered for .45 Colt---not ACP, but .45 "Long" Colt. I can NOT find a...

    About to pull the trigger..

..on a new shotgun. I have been bitten hard by the 3-gun bug...and I want a new shotgun! Actually, I have two serviceable pump shotguns--a Winchester 1300 and a Remington 870. Both are smooth and work well--but I want a good semiauto. So, out of the shotguns noted, which would you...

    Choices...choices...help!

So, I have now officially been bitten by the clay pigeon bug. I have been looking at over and under shotguns. I immediately fell in love with the Browning XT Trap. Man...that is one purty piece of boomstick! I like pretty. My dream shotgun stock, for instance, and my favorite shotgun...

    Winchester 1300 Defender sights

Hi, everyone. I need some assistance.... A while back, I got a slug barrel for my Defender--20" with rifle sights. I intended to install it and use it with the shotgun--of course. However, shortly after I fired the first rounds, I found that the rear sight was VERY loose in the dovetail. I...

    Need a video source

Does anyone know of a source where I can download some firearm function videos? Specifically, I'd like some of handguns firing and cycling in slow motion, or some .gif files that show the same. Of course, there are a bunch on YouTube--but now I find that I can't download them. Any help would...

    Need some help here....!

Believe it or not, this is one thing I have NEVER done, so I need some sage advice. What is a good SAFE way to de-link some .50 surplus ammunition? It is 633 grain ball ammo, HXP (Greek) manufacture, 1974. Any advice and/or knowledge about this ammo would be helpful. Thanks!!:)

Has anyone heard of this website?

I'm talking about a site called, "Guns 4 Pennies" dot-com. Someone once told me that if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. If this site is legit--well---wow! But something just doesn't seem right. Any advice would be helpful.

Some help needed for California travel!

Looking for someone who is experienced with the State of California to give me a heads up! Next year, I intend to visit some friends down in AZ. Living in WA State, the easiest and fastest way is to simply take I-5 south to 210, do a big circle around LA, and then head to Phoenix. Here's the...

How they got one over in WA State...

Well, it started on July 1st, and it came so quietly that it flew under the radar. Effective July 1st, if you have a firearm shipped to you in WA State, you will pay State sales tax. This tax varies according to local taxes, but will average around 8.5%. What this means is illustrated by...

    Need some good revolver grips...

If you have a Savage Short Action rifle (10FP), take a look...

I'm sure that folks have seen this rifle before... Good rifle action, but I could not get comfortable with this stock. I had to really work at getting a good shot off. Plus, the internal magazine was slow to top off, and to exchange ammunition was a pain. So, after a lot of soul searching...
