I need a barrel for a Weatherby Patrician pump. Can anyone tell me if the Patrician II will fit my older receiver? I found a site that sells model 92 barrels would a model 92 fit the original style receiver?

I have an 870 in 16 gauge. I am thinking the reciever is the same size as the 12 gauge. Could any body tell me why I could not throw in a 12 gauge bolt and put on a 12 gauge barrel, giving me a missing gauge without purchasing a new gun. I saw a barrel on here that was 1970's priced.

i am baffled as to why wads for cap and balls are so expensive, so following advise from other shooters, i located a hollow punch at Harbor Freight which is 7/16 ID. or .4375. Would this size wad work in the Ruger Old army?
